Finnish Flute Festival

our exciting international flute event IS HAPPENING AGAIN!

HELSINKI MUSIC CENTRE 3.-5.10.2025

Finnish Flute FestivalThe Finnish Flute Festival is a pedagogically focused event for all flutists, co-produced by the University of the Arts Helsinki's Sibelius Academy, the Finnish Flute Association, Huilupiste, and the Adams European Flute Centre.

The event will be infused with international flair, thanks to the presence of numerous renowned flutists and pedagogues from across Europe. Over the course of three days, attendees can enjoy an incredible selection of masterclasses, lectures, workshops, and world-class concerts.

The festival highlights our domestic talent as well, featuring a new generation of young Finnish professionals through concerts, teaching, and discussions. Flute pedagogues from the Sibelius Academy will offer masterclasses to students from vocational schools as well as for the most advanced music school students. The event will also include programming for traverso (Baroque flute).

The Open Stage invites all flutists—regardless of age or years of playing—to perform during the festival. You can also join a flute orchestra led by Gareth McLearnon or Heli Talvitie.

Our main partners, Huilupiste and the Adams Flute Centre together with some flute manufacturers, will be present at the Helsinki Music Centre throughout the weekend. An open exhibition of flutes, piccolos, and headjoints will provide a chance to explore instruments from various manufacturers.

Come join us, learn more and be inspired!
